Created by Chef Seth Stowaway (formerly of Michelin-starred Osito, Bar Agricole, and Mister Jiu’s) and pastry chef Gabrielle Pabonan (formerly of The French Laundry, Osito, and Tartine), Lore channels a shared instinct for intimacy, craft, and slow revelation. Each week, the salon unfolds as a single, deliberate experience: fire meeting finesse, flavor meeting restraint, memory meeting myth.

The Experience
Lore is a collaboration between two authors of flavor whose creative opposites generate the salon's pulse:

One seating. Ten guests. A single narrative told through 18-20 courses.
The open room welcomes guests into the creative process, where ingredients are coaxed to full expression like characters in a story written in smoke and earth. A wine and a non-alcoholic pairing are prepared in tandem.
The lighting stays low. The pace slows. You do not come here to eat; you come here to rendezvous with flavor, with pleasure, with something you are not meant to tell everyone about.
The Circle: Membership Privileges
Lore opens its doors weekly in San Francisco's Financial District. Access is reserved for members of The Circle and their invited guests.
Each month, membership includes:
- Two Tickets: Passage for two to the 18-course Lore experience.
- Priority Access: Secure your place at the table before remaining seats are released to the public.
- The Direct Line: A private text line to reach Chef Seth and his team for booking requests and arrangements.
- The Friends of Lore Gathering: a quarterly invitation to join us for canapés and pours from guest vintners and distillers.
Additional Member Privilege
- Book Chef Seth for a private experience in your home. He’ll create a custom tasting menu crafted around your preferences. (This is priced separately from membership.)
Membership Cost
$920 per month
This includes two monthly tickets at a discounted rate of $400 + 15% gratuity per guest.
This membership concludes with its final installment in December 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I redeem my tickets?
As a member, you receive two tickets each month for use at any Lore Tasting Salon. You will receive a cryptic link to secure your seats ahead of the general release; your membership credits will be applied automatically at checkout.
Can I purchase more than two tickets?
Yes. Additional tickets may be purchased for any night the salon is open.
What if I am unable to attend?
Tickets must be used within two months, with a maximum of four tickets held at once. You may also gift your passage to others if you are unable to find your way to us that month.
How can I secure a seat if I am not a member?
Members hold priority access. Any remaining seats at the table will be available to non-members on a first-come, first-served basis.
